With the aim of getting young
people ‘hooked on sport for life’, the ‘5×60’ programme aims to get pupils
taking part in sport or physical activity for 60 minutes, at least 5 times a
week. 5×60 is extra-curricular activity that occurs during dinner times and
after school at Denbigh High. All of the clubs that are on our school timetable
are a direct result of the feedback and interest from our pupils and our Active
Young People (AYP) officer Gaz does his best to try and make all sporting
opportunities available and accessible to everyone.
Denbigh High pupils……….Are you:
Able to provide
an idea regarding a ‘5×60’ school sport club?
playing new or highly popular sports/activities?
Keen to keep
active, have fun and live a healthy lifestyle?
If you are able to answer yes to any of the above questions, then feel free to come over to the PE department at morning break, dinner time or after school and catch up with your AYP officer to find out more information or even try out some activities!
