Vision

Vision Statement

I want Denbigh High School to be a happy place where learners and staff feel valued and safe.

Ensuring we provide the best education possible to learners has to be at the heart of what we do, so they leave Denbigh High School as responsible, ambitious, happy and resilient individuals who are prepared to follow whatever path they want to in life.

I believe that we need to make the right decisions for the right reasons and not just do things for the sake of doing them; that it is OK to take risks and make mistakes, as long as we learn from them; that everyone in the school should be able to share their opinions; and that we should all look to always improve ourselves.

To help support this, my long-term vision for the school is for us to have coaching through all aspects of the school.  For any of us to develop as individuals, we need to identify what we want to improve and what we need to do in order to improve; a coaching model would allow this.

Denbigh High School needs to be at the heart of the community and the automatic choice for young people in the local area. I want Denbigh High School to be a school that we and the community are proud of, where effort is rewarded and where learner’s development is supported holistically through opportunities inside and outside of the classroom.
